July 19-24

The Festival, in conjunction with the Jane Austen Society of Northern America (JASNA), will host several exciting Austen related events throughout the week to accompany the summer production of Pride and Prejudice.

Pride and Prejudice
July–Aug. 28

Curtain Call Lunch
July 20 and 23 at 12 noon at the SUU Alumni House
Get up close and personal with actors from Pride and Prejudice as they discuss what goes into creating a production. You will have the opportunity to pose the questions you have always wanted to ask. Tickets are $15.
Book Signing with Jennifer Adams
July 21 at 7 p.m. in the lobby of the Randall L. Jones Theatre
Meet the author of Remarkably Jane: Notable Quotations on Jane Austen. Books will be for sale in the Festival Gift Shop.
Brunch with the Bennets
July 15 and 22, August 6 and 19 at 11 a.m. at the Garden House of Cedar City

Meet members of the Pride and Prejudice cast and learn exclusive behind-the-scenes details about the summer production. The brunches will be held on July 15 and 22, and August 6 and 19 at 11 a.m. at The Garden House of Cedar City (165 S. 100 W.). Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

JASNA Regional Events

Utah Member Lunch and Orientation
July 21 at 12:30 p.m. at the Pizza Factory, Cedar City, Utah
Meet with other Jane Austen fans for pizza and conversation, and receive important information about the Jane Austen Week activities. Everyone will pay for their own lunch. Please plan to attend even if you will not be eating.
Regency Ball
July 21 following the performance of Pride and Prejudice. Location: The LDS Stake Center at 725 South 1100 West.
Journey back in time to learn Jane Austen-style dance at this Regency ball. Dress up, dance, and come find your own Mr. Darcy. The Old Glory Vintage Dancers will be on hand to teach dance moves from the Regency period. More information about the Old Glory Vintage Dancers can be found at http://www.oldgloryvintagedancers.com/. Costumes are not required.
Dinner and Video Lecture with Dr. Kurt Harris
July 22 at 5 p.m., Cedar City Library
Dr. Kurt Harris, chair of the Southern Utah University English Department and resident Jane Austen expert, will give this video presentation for JASNA members.
