Utah Shakespeare Festival To Hold Auditions for Playmakers Program: The Wizard of Oz

The Utah Shakespeare Festival Playmakers program will hold auditions for The Wizard of Oz on Monday, January 28 from 4 to 9 p.m. in the Auditorium Theatre, which is located on the corner of 300 West and Center Street in Cedar City. The educational program will accept up to 60 students ages 7-17.

All roles will be cast during auditions. Performers should come prepared to sing one of the provided songs only. Music can be found online at bard.org/education/classes/playmakers.html.

An accompanist will be provided.

Rehearsals for this Playmakers' course will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. weekdays beginning February 1. The cost of the program is $200, and some scholarships may be available. The Wizard of Oz will be performed in the Randall L. Jones Theatre from April 10 through April 15.
