The Utah Shakespeare Festival and Southern Utah University have joined forces to build, starting this winter, the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts. The Center will include a long-awaited new Shakespeare Theatre, a studio theatre, the Southern Utah Museum of Art (SUMA), and the Festival’s much-needed artistic and production facility.
A recent donation from the Sorenson Legacy Foundation, as well as major gifts from the Ralph and Betty Engelstad Family Foundation, the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation, Rocki Alice, the Ashton Family Foundation, Garth and Jerry Frehner, the Tanner Charitable Trust, the estate of Jim Jones, the State of Utah, Iron County, and Cedar City Corporation, have helped to get us close to completing this regional arts center.
But fundraising is continuing, and gifts of all amounts are still needed. You can play a part in this momentous undertaking. Please consider donating today.
