The Tony Award-winning Utah Shakespearean Festival, located in scenic southern Utah, hires over 250 total positions for the summer and fall seasons, as well as technicians and managers for its touring production.

Applications for technical and administrative positions are accepted beginning October 1 for the following year. Applications for actors are accepted from July 1 to October 1 of the year prior to the season. Seasonal hiring is completed by March of each year.

Scenery Director

The Utah Shakespearean Festival seeks an experienced, organized, individual as part of lead staff in the production department. The Scenery Director oversees all activities of the scenery and paint departments for the Festival. Responsible for the planning, execution, and completion of all scenic elements for productions at the Festival. Hires seasonal scenic staff of over 65; manages budgets of over $300K and coordinates schedules within the departments. Works with designers and supervisors to develop budgets for shows. Oversees daily operation of all scenic and paint areas. Coordinates research and development on materials and mechanics needed for productions. The Scenery Director takes a hands-on roll in construction of scenery for fall season, holiday, and educational touring productions.
